Pilot uses Google OAuth with two narrow permissions. Here is exactly what that means.
What Pilot accesses
Sends campaigns from your address using the gmail.send permission, so candidates reply to you, not a bot domain.
Reads replies to campaign threads using the gmail.readonly permission, so it can classify responses and stop follow-ups.
Encrypted everywhere. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, hosted on AWS and DigitalOcean in the US.
What Pilot never does
Never shares your Gmail content with external AI providers. Classification runs inside ConnectDevs systems only.
Never exposes your inbox to people. Access is system-only. No ConnectDevs employee can read your Gmail content.
Never sells or trades your data. Your Gmail data exists to run your campaigns. That is its only job.
Disconnect anytime from Email settings. All Gmail data is purged within 90 days of disconnect.

Why does Pilot need access to my Gmail?
Pilot needs Gmail access to send outreach emails directly from your account, ensuring higher deliverability and a personal touch. It also monitors for replies to classify them automatically for you.
What exactly can Pilot read in my inbox?
Pilot only reads emails that are part of the outreach campaigns it sends. It identifies replies to these specific threads to classify candidate interest. Your personal and unrelated business emails remain completely private.
How do I disconnect Gmail?
You can disconnect your Gmail account at any time through the platform settings. Once disconnected, Pilot will immediately lose all access to your inbox, and no further emails will be sent or read.
Will candidates know the emails are automated?
No. Pilot sends emails directly through your Gmail server, so they appear as regular one-to-one emails in the candidate's inbox. There are no 'sent via' headers or telltale signs of automation.
What happens when a candidate replies interested?
When a candidate replies with interest, Pilot automatically classifies the response and notifies you. It can also be configured to immediately hand the candidate off to SAM, our AI interviewer, to start the screening process.
Do I need Scout to use Pilot?
While Pilot works seamlessly with our other agents like Scout and SAM, it can be used as a standalone tool to manage your candidate outreach campaigns once you have a list of targets.
